Today started with a drive to the top of Mt Wellington. From there we had clear views of Hobart and the landscape for many miles, in many directions (Photos soon). The wind was very stong and extremely cold. The wind chill factor certainly had to be below zero degrees celcius, I can hardly remember feeling air so cold in the Swedish Winter. We photographed all of the views as quickly as possible and ran for the car.
We were frozen to the core.
Next stop was Swansea, about 3 hours North of Hobart. The drive was picturesque, we listened to the cricket, it was a good morning.
We drove around Swansea and had a look at it, and had lunch at a nice bakery/cafe. After that it was time to check into our motel where we stayed for the rest of the day. It was very hot outside, and the cricket was on tv, so we had a few drinks and relaxed indoors.
Our motel is nice, and outside of our balcony we have a water view. I took a series of photos showing an almost 180 degree view, and used Photoshop to stitch them together into one photo.
Dinner was in the motel restaurant, then it was spa time! We have a room with a fairly big spa bath, so I did that, while LittleB watched movies. Very relaxing.
Day 7 we’ll be driving back to Launceston, and will be our last day in Tassie.

It was a lovely room indeed. The motel food was also very delicious. It was very comfortable and the view was spectacular, it was such a peaceful beach view. It reminded me of “How’s the serenity” from the movie “The Castle”. We also watched the rest of the cricket and had drinks in the room. It was so relaxing.
