This blog entry is to complete my Day 1 post.
The rest of the photos from Day 1, that I didn’t post yesterday, can be found here: [Link]
Most of the photos were taken at “Gamla Stan” which is Swedish for “Old Town”, and is the oldest part of Stockholm. Most of the buildings are centuries old, and the streets are narrow. The rest of Stockholm doesn’t look like this.
LittleB really wanted to see a couple of buildings in Gamla Stan that are on many websites that are about Stockholm. I saw these buildings in old World Book encyclopedias I grew up with, as well as in a book I was given about Stockholm. The photos of these buildings were inside the book and on the back cover. I’m not sure that the buildings are of any special importance, it’s just that they seem to come up all the time in books and websites about Sweden. When LittleB saw them, she was very happy and said it was like visiting Mecca. Which buildings? These two: [Link] Now you’ll recognise them when they come up in the photos and the video.
Which video? This one showing a montage of views around Gamla Stan (warning 70mb):
That’ll be all.

Hi
Nice talking to both of you.
I saw the video of Gamla Stan very nice place. Alot of individual store selling Christmas stuffs. Snow everywhere I love to see it and I saw littleb taking photos of the building. Is the scenery you took on the hop on bus? I am glad both of you are enjoying yourselves.
I had a good lunch at my cousin D’s place. She always pack food for me to take home. I need not have to cook for dinner.

Hi Helena, It’s great you enjoyed Christmas! We’ve a had a nice Christmas here.
The scenery is all around Gamla Stan, I haven’t posted anything from the hop on hop off bus yet, in fact LittleB will have to do that since I only recorded videos. I’ll update my blog to show Day 2 photos soon.
